Measure the site,
not the people.
Metrimato replaces Google Analytics with one line of code. No cookies, no cookie banner, no personal data. Every one of your sites shows up in the same view, and the data stays in a Finnish data centre.

A twentyfold difference loads on every pageview, on every device. It shows up in the speed of the site and in the visitor's data bill.
The whole picture of one site
Every row is a link: click a country, a browser or a page and the whole dashboard narrows to it.

Many sites
And every site on one page
A shop, a campaign page and a blog are not three separate tools. The overview lists every site with its visitors, the change from the previous period and the people on it right now. The name of a site takes you into its own view and back.
- No switching views
- Every site on the account is on the same page. A single site's detailed view is one click away.
- It updates itself
- The live visitor count and the whole list refresh in the background, with no page reload.
- Each in its own time zone
- A site can have a time zone of its own, and the figures are still counted over the same seven days for all of them.

Broad tracking, no footprint
We measure everything that matters about pages, sources and devices. No single visitor can be identified from any of it.
- Pages and paths
- Pageviews, entry and exit pages, reading time and scroll depth, plus bounce rate.
- Traffic sources
- Search engines, social, referrals and direct traffic. UTM campaigns and click ids included.
- Devices and browsers
- Device type, screen size class, browser and operating system.
- Countries and languages
- Country from the CDN header, language from the browser setting. No IP geolocation, no city-level accuracy.
- Custom events
- A form submission, a download link or a purchase click with a single JavaScript call. The site's own search and missing pages collect into lists of their own.
- AI traffic
- You see people arriving from AI services separately, and the AI crawlers reading your site separately.
Getting started
One line, and the numbers start coming in
Taking Metrimato into use is not a project. No tag manager, no data streams, no measurement model. You add the site, paste one line into the template and see the first visitors right away.
-
Add the site
Give the domain and the time zone. You get a tracking key of your own.
-
Paste the line into the template
One script tag, the same on every page. There is a ready-made plugin for WordPress.
-
Open the dashboard
The numbers show up immediately. The basic reports work without a single setting.
The whole installation
<script defer src="https://metrimato.com/m.js"
data-site="mm_a1b2c3d4"></script>
The key is per site and waits on the install page, ready to copy.
There is a plugin for WordPress
Install the plugin and paste the key. It prints the same tracking line for you and tells the script two things the browser cannot work out on its own.
- The site's own search, also with pretty URLs, and never counted twice
- Missing pages collect into a list of their own
- Chosen signed-in roles can be left out of the measurement
Reading
Still clear three months from now
An analytics tool is worth what you are willing to keep looking at. That is why the dashboard is one page, and reading it needs no training.
- Everything on one page
- Visitors, sources, pages, devices and countries are in the same view. You do not have to build a report to see what happened.
- Click, don't build
- Every row narrows the whole view. A filter can be saved by name and shared with a colleague as a link.
- A number is a number
- No sampling: every figure is counted from every visit. The same number shows in the view, in the CSV export and in the API.
- In Finnish or in English
- The whole service works in both languages, alerts and email reports included. Each user picks their own.
The technical core
How does a visitor stay unidentifiable?
We store no IP address, no user agent and no cookie. Within a single day a visitor is identified by an id computed from a random value that changes daily. The random value is deleted, and the id can no longer be joined to anything.
The random value changes daily, so tomorrow the same visitor gets a different id. Visits cannot be chained across days or between sites, not even by us.
What we store and what we don't
- Stored
- Path, referring domain, channel, UTM parameters, browser, operating system, device type, screen size class, country code, language, timestamp.
- Not stored
- IP address, user agent, cookies, browser fingerprint, precise location, query parameters, user ids or any cross-site tracking.
Because the data cannot be tied to a person, no cookie banner is needed and no personal data register comes into being.
Finnish
A Finnish service in a Finnish data centre
Metrimato is built and run by the Finnish company Phenomenal Development Oy. The application, the database and the backups are in Finland, and the analytics data of your sites never leaves the EU. Support comes from the same people who wrote the code.
- Finland
- data centre and backups
- 0
- transfers of analytics data outside the EU
- EU
- contract and legislation
- Procurement gets lighter
- Analytics data does not leave the EU at all. Every supplier that could reach anything else is named below with its country, and the payment service only ever sees the subscription to Metrimato.
- The paperwork is ready
- The data processing agreement, the security description and a ready-made privacy assessment template are waiting. Metrimato's part is answered in advance.
- Support in Finnish and in English
- The answer comes from a person who knows the product and fixes problems quickly. The interface, the alerts and the reports come in both languages too.
Outside suppliers
Every company that may gain access to customer data or to what is typed into the service's own forms. The list is complete: there are no others.
| Company | Country | What data it processes |
|---|---|---|
| Phenomenal Development Oy Development and operation of the service | Finland | Admin access to the production environment, and the customer's account details in a support situation |
| Lettermint Email delivery (password resets and other service messages) | Netherlands (EU) | The email addresses of the account's users and the content of the messages. No visitor data |
| Stripe Payments Europe, Limited Payment and invoicing of the Metrimato subscription | Ireland (EU). Stripe group companies may also process payment data outside the EU under standard contractual clauses | Only the Metrimato subscription: billing contact details, billing address and payment transactions. Card details are given directly to Stripe and never pass through Metrimato. Never any analytics data, Stripe has no access to the visitor data of the tracked sites at all |
| Cloudflare, Inc. Turnstile bot protection on the invite request form | United States | The IP address and technical browser details of the person filling in the invite request form, for the duration of the check. No customer data and no visitor data |
We tell customers about a new supplier 30 days before it is taken into use. We use no analytics, advertising or AI services to process customer data.

What about the other cookieless tools?
Cookieless measurement is no longer rare, and that is a good thing. The difference is in what surrounds the promise.
- The joint view is the default
- Every site on the account is on the same page with its visitors, its change and its live count. More sites does not mean more tabs.
- Every analytics feature in every tier
- Funnels, user paths, segments, goals, alerts and imports are in the cheapest tier too. The tier says how many events fit in, not what you can see.
- Your history comes along
- Old figures can be imported from a CSV file or straight from Google Analytics 4, so the comparison does not start from zero.
- Built for procurement
- The data processing agreement, the security description, the subprocessor list and a ready-made privacy assessment template exist before anyone asks for them.
Clear pricing
Every analytics feature is included in every tier. The price follows the traffic, and Pro is a separate add-on for teams, integrations and client reporting.
| Events / month | Price |
|---|---|
| 10,000 | 9 € / month |
| 100,000 | 19 € / month |
| 500,000 | 39 € / month |
| 1,000,000 | 59 € / month |
| 2,000,000 | 89 € / month |
| 5,000,000 | 149 € / month |
| 10,000,000 | 249 € / month |
| More than 10M | Contact us |
Pro is an add-on of 29 € a month on top of any tier. It opens the read API, server-side events, scheduled reports, larger teams, the audit log and longer retention, and leaves the event quota untouched.
Frequently asked
Do I need a cookie banner?
No. Metrimato sets no cookies and reads nothing from browser storage, and the collected data cannot be tied to a person. No consent is needed for Metrimato.
Does tracking work with ad blockers?
The script is served from our own domain and uses none of the known tracking patterns, so it gets past most block lists. You can also proxy the script under your own domain.
Can I track custom events?
Yes. Call metrimato('form_submitted') on your site and the event shows up on the dashboard. You can attach at most 12 properties.
How long is data kept?
You pick the retention period in account settings, within the plan's limits. Anything older is deleted automatically every night.
Who owns the data?
You do. You can export it in machine-readable form or delete the account and all data with one button.
Can I track several sites on one account?
You can. The overview shows the visitors, the change and the people right now for every site on the same page, and each site can have a time zone of its own. The plan says how many sites fit in.
Does Metrimato work with WordPress?
It does. You can paste the tracking line into the template yourself or install Metrimato's own plugin, which prints the line for you and brings along the site's own search and its missing pages. The plugin measures nothing itself and sends nothing to Metrimato.
Where is the data?
In Finland. The application, the database and the backups are in a Finnish data centre, and analytics data is not transferred outside the EU or the EEA. Billing for the subscription runs through Stripe, which never sees analytics data, and every subprocessor is named with its country on the security page.
